Offering a look at country life, this book features rural characters and situations.
"Really Rural" offers an affectionate but hilarious look at country life and traditional wisdom from popular "Country Living" columnist Janey Wilks. Readers will enjoy dipping into this book of snippets, tips and short extracts drawn from amazing archive material, much of which has been unpublished for decades. This book features expertly evoked rural characters and situations all woven together with charm, humour, and a proportion of keenly observed material from the author's own experience of living in the thick of rural life.

Janey Wilks writes as Aly Wilks in her 'Tales from a Stone Cottage' feature in Country Living magazine, and has also written for Cotswold Life, Stalking and The Field magazines. She farms a small herd of sheep, keeps geese and chickens, and has a crazy flock of guinea fowl at her traditional stone cottage in Nettleton, Wiltshire, near the Badminton Estate.
