This book is the fi rst of its kind, where we were able to present all the huts of the South Tyrolean Alpine Club AVS, the Italian Alpine Club CAI and the privately owned mountain huts in the hotel and innkeepers alliance. Therefore, 94 huts are listed and described. The assistance of the department for tourism and alpine aff airs made it possible to develop this interesting and useful hut guidebook, which hopefully will be a regular companion in the mountains for both locals and tourists alike.
