Michael Vennard after leaving school at 16, spent nearly 40 years working for UK high street banks, and retired in 2024. He has been a recreational cyclist since the age of 14, spending more time on a bike than in a car. His cycling ‘career’ has included multi-day tours, year-round commuting, and racing both bicycle and tandem, at club level.
