The goal of this guide is to provide brief yet essential information about life in Germany for newly immigrated individuals, tourists, businesspeople, and anyone interested in the country.
Having worked with migrants as a community organiser for many years, I realised that the lack of basic knowledge about the German way of life makes integration difficult.

This guide aims to ease integration by offering basic information and practical tips to avoid unnecessary stress. This guide is intentionally concise.

Stephen Ekokobe Awung was educated in Cameroon and Germany. He is a renowned social activist and political analyst. He has written numerous critical essays and literary works, many of which have been published in international journals and anthologies. He is also a member of the International Society of Poets. Stephen is a community organizer and the executive chairman of the African People's Convention in Kassel, Germany. He is a former member of the Foreigners' Advisory Council in the municipality of Kassel, representing the interests of migrants. Fondly known as Steeve, he has won multiple poetry awards and has presented his literary works and essays on various occasions in Germany.
