A series of regional guides, "Exploring Woodland" describes and illustrates the 100 best woodland sites in each area. Fully illustrated with maps and photographs, these should prove useful visitors' guides for all nature lovers. The Woodland Trust protects over 1,000 woods throughout the UK and has 200,000 supporters nationwide. These guides bring us the best of British woodland in handy regional guides. Both privately-owned and public woods are included, all easily accessible. All sites are checked by Woodland Trust volunteers so that the information included is the best available. An essay introduces the woodland of each region highlighting particular points of interest, and a series of locator maps show where the sites are and how to get to them. One hundred of the best sites are described and illustrated, and other places of interest in the area are listed to make the most of the day out.
