The National Parks and Other Wild Places of Canada is a prestigious souvenir for visitors to Canada, and a spectacular visual introduction to the country for anyone with an interest in wildlife and wild places. From barren Arctic tundra and rugged moutain ranges to golden prairie and evergreen forest, this evocative yet practical exploration of Canada's parks and wilderness areas brings to life the vast landscapes and natural splendour of this, the world's second largest country. With 320 magnificent photographs, all the major parks of the country are described. Colour maps show each area's main features, and visitor information panels provide fully up-to-date details on access, accommodation, and activities including hiking, rafting, birdwatching and fishing.
