Pembrokeshire is justly famous for its coastline and its historic towns and city of St David's. Its villages, rich in history and legend, are often passed through without further thought. Two hundred and thirty four villages and hamlets are covered, each with a brief description. As well as information on churches, chapels and sites of interest there are stories of saints, pirates, sea monsters, knights and flying saucers reflecting the county's varied heritage.
Geoffrey Davies was born and educated in Glamorgan before studying History and Philosophy at St David's, Lampeter. After a career in investment management and marketing, he retired to Wales. A keen photographer, he became intrigued by the wealth of half forgotten history and the beauty of the county and set about further research. The result is this book.
