The Radnor Ring is a circular cycle route around the old county of Radnorshire. This is a route and information map in the "Discover" series that covers the 84 miles (135km) of National Cycle Network in Mid Wales based around the towns of Powys. It also includes a detailed land profile chart and information on local Tourist Information Centres.
This is the Sustrans cycle route and information map in the "Discover" series covering the 84 miles (135km) of National Cycle Network in Mid Wales based around the towns of Powys. The Radnor Ring is a circular cycle route around the old county of Radnorshire. The route follows a mixture of country lanes, river valleys, traffic-free trails and mountain roads, offering spectacular views of some of Mid Wales' most spectacular scenery. The route is mainly signed as National Route 825 but takes in some of National Route 8 (Lon Las Cymru) between Rhayader and Newbridge -on-Wye. The route predominantly runs through Powys but In the east, the route creeps back and forth over the Welsh English border in to Herefordshire passing through Kington, Presteigne and Knighton. The map includes a detailed land profile chart plus information on local Tourist Information Centres and other useful amenities. Inset town maps are shown for Rhayader, Knighton, Presteigne, Kington, Newbridge-on-Wye and LLandrindod Wells. The information panels are in both Welsh and English languages. The two-sided map is printed on waterproof paper.
