Kuching, the capital of Sarawak, Malaysia, situated on Borneo, is a place worth to be visited by all that are interested in experiencing a unique community of urban life and omnipresent nature in the same place.
There one can find the descendants of the famous Borneo head-hunters, the charm of the Victorian period, centuries-old textile art, local and brought there by Arabian merchants, tropical plants that make the city look like a green garden, traditional arts and crafts of the native people, a colourful life and much more.
Sarawak is the place where the pepper grows. The best pepper on earth!
What may our amiable primate brothers, the orang-utans from Semenggoh near Kuching, think of us humans? What an experience is wandering in the oldest natural ecosystem, in one of the National Parks of Sarawak? How do the wonderful tropical fruits taste, fresh from the plants? My Kuching at first sight, my Kuching a prima vista, is described in this book.
Everybody that wants to inform about that interesting place in a very individual but not superficial way will get pleasure from reading it.
