Bennett-Alexander and Hartman's "Employment Law for Business, 6/e" addresses law and employment decisions from a managerial perspective. It is intended to instruct students on how to manage effectively and efficiently with full comprehension of the legal ramifications of their decisions. Students are shown how to analyze employment law facts using concrete examples of management-related legal dilemmas that do not present clear-cut solutions. The methods of arriving at resolutions are emphasized, so that when the facts of the workplace problem are not quite the same, the student can still reach a good decision based on the legal considerations required by law, which remain relevant.

Dawn D. Bennett - Alexander is a tenured associate professor of Employment Law and Legal Studies at the University of Georgia's Terry College of business and an attorney admitted to practice in DC and six federal jurisdictions. Laura P. Hartman was formerly an Assistant Professor of Business Law at DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business where she received the university's excellence in teaching Award. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School. She then held the Grainger Chair of Business Ethics at the University of Wisconsin --- Madison. She is currently a Vice President at DePaul University.ity.ity.
