Die EU strebt seit den 1990er Jahren einen gemeinsamen Strombinnenmarkt mit grenzüberschreitendem Wettbewerb an. Die Arbeit untersucht die Marktkopplung als Instrument zur ökonomisch effizienten Engpassbewirtschaftung an der Schnittstelle von Stromnetzbetrieb und Stromhandel. Im Fokus stehen die Regulierungsvorgaben für die Kapazitätsberechnung und Kapazitätsvergabe im Spotmarkt einschließlich ihrer materiell- und formell-rechtlichen Grundlagen sowie ihrer Umsetzung durch die Regulierungsbehörden.
