This book analyzes human trafficking in Latin America, a phenomenon that constitutes one of the most serious human rights violations in the region. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the book examines the current dynamics of this crime, its emerging modalities and the structural factors that facilitate it. Finally, it proposes a set of comprehensive public policies adapted to the Latin American context, organized along the axes of prevention, prosecution and protection, with emphasis on inter-institutional coordination, specialized training and international cooperation. This proposal seeks to significantly transform the state and social response to this scourge.
