The Foreword to this Second Edition is written by Hans Corell, Consultant, Mannheimer Swartling, Under-Secretary-General for Legal Affairs and the Legal Counsel of the United Nations March 1994-March 2004. The Foreword to the First Edition (which is reprinted in the Second Edition) is written by Ulf Franke, Secretary General of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC): President of the International Federation of Commercial Institutions (IFCIA); former Secretary General of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA).
Finn Madsen is a partner specializing in arbitration at Advokatfirman Vinge KB, a leading Scandinavian law firm, appointed the best Swedish law firm by International Law Office in 2006. Before joining Vinge, he served as an assistant judge at the Appeals Court and District Court, and as a general counsel at a Swedish bank. Madsen is a member of Vinge's litigation and arbitration practice group and possesses extensive experience of Swedish and international arbitration practice, both as counsel and arbitrator. He is listed, inter alia, in the Legal Media Group's 2006 Guide to the World's Leading Experts in Commercial Arbitration.
