"The Blackstone's Police Investigators' Manual and Workbook 2007" are the only official study texts for the National Investigators' Exam (NIE) which is taken as part of Phase 1 of the Initial Crime Investigators' Development Programme. Based on the bestselling "Blackstone's Police Manuals", this pack provides legal information which is relevant to the role of a trainee investigator, namely in the areas of Property Offences, Assaults, Drugs, Firearms and Defences, Sexual Offences, Offences Against Children and Evidence. Now in it's fifth edition, this popular set is completely updated for the 2006/7 syllabus with reference to the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (SOCPA), the updates to the PACE Codes of Practice, the Drugs Act 2005 and the Terrorism Bill.
