Employment Law and Practice provides a comprehensive guide to key employment law topics, beginning with the crucial issue of employment status and covering essential employment rights such as the national minimum wage and working time regulations. The book explores discrimination law, recruitment, and the contract of employment, along with family-friendly rights like maternity and paternity leave. It also covers policies during employment, termination issues like unfair dismissal and redundancy, and transfers of undertakings. The procedures at employment tribunals and the use of settlement agreements are also examined. Finally, the book considers the future of employment law, including the impact of technological change.

Supported by practical activities and real-world links, the book draws on the author's extensive experience in employment practice.

Published by CILEX Education, a leading provider of professional legal training and qualifications, the book reflects their commitment to equipping learners and practitioners with the knowledge and skills to excel in the legal profession.
