This book is the result of research begun at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and presented at the 'Dialoguing from the South' conference in July 2016. Subsequently, the author delved deeper into the subject, managing in this work to address the relationship between female inferiority and criminality, and seeking to answer the question of who are the women who are imprisoned in two Latin American countries: Brazil and Argentina.
