Explore U.S. federal criminal procedure fused with ethical imperatives and practical insights drawn from real-life scenarios. Merging legal theory with ethical guidance, the work empowers students to tackle courtroom challenges and understand the broader societal impacts inherent in criminal justice.
Practical Criminal Law and Procedure: Constitutional and Ethical Principles provides students with an in-depth understanding of U.S. federal criminal procedure with a strong emphasis on ethical considerations inherent in the legal processes. Rooted in real-world scenarios and combining legal theory with ethical principles and practical guidance, the text equips students with the necessary tools to navigate the complexities of criminal practice with an ethical compass.

This book seeks to bridge the gap between substantive legal principles and often overlooked ethical requirements. It presents black-letter principles that govern in a given area of law as well as relevant ethical rules and advice based on real-world situations. This approach prepares students to practice criminal law effectively and ethically.

Practical Criminal Law and Procedure is ideal for courses and programs in law, criminal justice, and criminal procedure. The structure, themes, and principles set forth in the book will benefit students seeking to understand and properly apply criminal law in a courtroom setting, as well as those interested in the broader societal implications of ethics in criminal justice.
