Written with reference to industry standard materials issued by the Loan Market Association, International Swaps and Derivatives Association, and the British Bankers' Association, this book offers support for the Legal Practice Course developed for the City law firms and is also meant as a reference guide for practitioners.
The approach and structure of the "Banking and Capital Markets Companion" is unique. Written with reference to industry standard materials issued by the Loan Market Association, International Swaps and Derivatives Association, and the British Bankers' Association, it offers ideal support for the Legal Practice Course developed for the City law firms and also acts as a unique one volume reference guide for practitioners. This edition has been substantially expanded to include an introduction to accounting principles, subordination, priority aspects and credit support for swaps, and completely revised and updated to take account of: Bank of England Notices (29 and 27 August 2003) on certificates of deposit and acceptances; Dematerialisation of money market instruments; Enterprise Act 2002; EU Directive on the taxation of savings income; Finance Act 2003; Land Registration Act 2002; and The Reporting of Savings Income Information Regulations 2003 (draft).
