In the wake of the 2018 Velvet Revolution, Nikol Pashinyan became Armenia's prime minister; being a milestone for human rights in the country. Nontheless, Armenia remains a country plagued with human rights problems, including lack of accountability for law enforcement abuses, domestic violence, poverty and violence and discrimination against LGBT people - the lack of rule of law in Armenia being in correlation with the violence of transgender people; also in view that the LGBT community in Armenia has been "tortured, raped, kidnapped, subjected to physical violence, burned, immolated, knifed, subjected to murder attempt, killed, emigrated, and robbed" - according to reports - with 9 LGBT activists having been violently attacked by a mob at a private home in the town of Shurnukh in August 2018, sending two of them to hospital for serious injuries. Hence this book endeavours to improve human rights, democracy and social equality in Armenia; so that peace and harmony can be manifested in this beautiful country.
