Based on the two leading patent references sources, "The European Patent Source Finder" and "The European Patents Handbook", it contains the updated text of both of these works. There are also over 2,000 fully indexed references, with summaries, to material which should have a bearing on European Patent Convention law, practice and procedure. The CD-ROM gives access to: sources of information decisions, many from the European Patent Appeal Boards; advice from the Legal Division of the European Patent Office concerning European Patent Convention practice; and decisions of national courts and patent offices in the contracting states to the Convention. There is an electronic index designed to make searching for information, as users are able to key in a term to see exactly how many times it appears in the text, isolate important headings where they lead the text, and jump between sections quickly and easily.
