This work provides legal practitioners and other professionals, operating both inside and outside Europe, with a succinct, accurate and up to date text on current European environmental law. The rapid rate of regulation and the very wide spectrum of activities and substances now falling under environmental control have created the necessity for a major reference work of this type, which tempers theoretical discussion and speculation with the pressing need of the practioner to know what the law is, and its application.
