Against this backdrop, she adds insights into the wider debate on how human rights treaties should be implemented.

Katia Bianchini is a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity in Göttingen, Germany. She holds a PhD from the University of York (UK) and has practiced immigration law in the United States and the United Kingdom.
