This fifth cumulative supplement to the third edition of the "CIPA Guide to the Patents Acts" cross-references and updates the main work using the main work's paragraph numbering. Coverage includes all relevant cases reported in Fleet Street Reports, Reports of Patent Cases, European Intellectual Property Review and European Patent Office Reports up to the end of 1993, as well as the Official Journal of the European Patent Office. Coverage is also given to cases which have not been reported elsewhere, including recent developments in biotechnology. Also included is full explanatory commentary on the supplementary protection certificates, which give up to five years extra protection for some medicinal products. The EC Regulation on supplementary protection certificates is reproduced, together with the UK's implementing Rules and Regulations.
