Anyone appearing before an employment tribunal for the first time is faced with many procedures and rules that can confuse and mystify. Employment Tribunal Claims brings together practical guidance with an extensive collection of precedents to equip the claimant and his/her adviser with the tools and tactics to win their cases.
This is not a book of substantive law - it concentrates on the practical and the tactical, guiding claimant and advisers through the unwritten rules and pit-falls of tribunal procedure, providing insight into the 'mind' of the tribunal and giving helpful tips on successful letter writing, submissions, cross-examination notes and draft directions. The third edition has been extensively rewritten and clarified so that it is easier to understand and use, and takes into account all the changes brought about by the abolition of the statutory dispute resolution procedures

Naomi Cunningham was called to the Bar in 1994 and worked at a number of London Law Centres(R) before joining the FRU as employment caseworker in 2000 and returning to independent practice as a barrister in 2004. She has written for the Industrial Law Journal (OUP) and Adviser (Citizens Advice), and is one of the contributing editors of Employment Court Practice (Sweet & Maxwell, 2nd edition, 2008). She now practises as a member of the employment team at Outer Temple Chambers. Michael Reed was called to the Bar in 2003, and currently works at FRU as Legal Officer, Employment. At FRU he is responsible for supervising over 500 employment cases conducted by volunteers, as well as his own cases in the tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal. He is a director of the Discrimination Law Association, a member of the Tribunal Procedure Committee and on the editorial board of Adviser
