Hydroxyapatite is a crystalline calcium phosphate widely used as a bone substitute material due to its similarity to living tissue and its excellent biocompatibility. In this work, ceramic foams (scaffolds) will be made using different polymers as a template, this structure facilitates the osseointegration of tissues allowing their growth. For this purpose, the synthesis of hydroxyapatite will be carried out by different methods, in order to allow the comparison of the product obtained in each of them: phases present, morphology and particle size and mechanical properties of the sintered product.
The first author is a graduate in Pharmacy, Specialist in Radiopharmacy, with Masters in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology, Research in Clinical Medicine and Pharmaceutical Specialties. She works in Pharmacovigilance.The second author is a Graduate in Nursing, works in a Vaccination Center and in the Nuclear Medicine Service.
