This book provides an overview of the latest advancements in the use of 3D organoids and stem cells for regenerative endodontics. It begins with an introduction to the foundational techniques for 3D organoid culture and explores cutting-edge developments in 3D bioprinting specifically tailored for dental applications. The book further examines the role of organoids in drug screening, toxicity testing, and the modulation of immune responses. It discusses the role of the microenvironment in organoid development, detailing how biophysical and biochemical factors, along with engineered niches, can influence the growth and functionality of organoids. The book reviews the use of various types of stem cells in regenerative endodontic therapies. The book explores the complex cellular and molecular interactions within organoid cultures, including stem cell-macrophage crosstalk and key signaling pathways involved in tissue regeneration. The role of the extracellular matrix (ECM) and different types of scaffolds, including nanofibrous, injectable scaffolds, bioinks, and decellularized extracellular matrices, are discussed for their importance in supporting 3D organoid integration and biocompatibility.

Mohammed Tarique is a researcher and academic with expertise in molecular biology, biotechnology, and nanomedicine, working at Jamia Islamia. He holds a PhD from the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, and has conducted post-doctoral research in parasite cell biology. Dr. Tarique is a member of several editorial boards. His research is published in high-impact journals, and he holds patents related to diabetic neuropathy treatment and glucose monitoring devices. Additionally, he has authored books on nanomedicine applications in cancer diagnosis and therapy, as well as the use of nanoparticles in tissue engineering and infectious diseases. Nezar Mohammed Boreak is an academic and researcher specializing in the applications of stem cells and 3-D organoids in endodontics. He earned his PhD in Dental Sciences and Clinical Certificate in Endodontics from Tohoku University, Japan, and furthered his expertise with a Certificate in Dental Implantology and the American Board in Implantology from New York University (NYU), USA. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor at the College of Dentistry, Jazan University, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Boreak also holds roles as the Head of the Alumni Unit and Course Coordinator at Jazan University, focusing on infection control during dental practice. He has published research articles in reputed journal covering topics such as artificial intelligence in endodontic diagnosis and dental pulp stem cell research.
