Julian Brash is Professor of Anthropology and Director of the Urban Humanities Program at Montclair State University. He is the former editor-in-chief of City & Society, as well as the president-elect of the Critical Urban Anthropology Association. He is the author of Bloomberg’s New York: Class and Governance in the Luxury City (2011, University of Georgia Press), as well as numerous articles in anthropology and urban studies journals, book chapters, and other publications addressing urban development, planning, culture, and political economy.
