This volume includes peer reviewed articles from the Fourth International Conference on Sustainable Civil Engineering and Architecture (ICSCEA) 2025, held at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on 11–13 July 2025. The conference brings together professionals from academia and industry to share their expertise and experiences, as well as to enable collaboration and enhance cooperation in the sector. The book focuses on the most recent developments in sustainable architecture and civil engineering, including offshore structures, structural engineering, construction materials, and architecture. ICSCEA 2025 is particularly privileged to commemorate the 80th birthday of Professor J.N. Reddy.

Prof. Reddy is a Distinguished Professor, Regents’ Professor, and inaugural holder of the Oscar S. Wyatt Endowed Chair in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, USA. He is the author of nearly 700 journal papers and 21 books (several with second, third, and fourth editions) on energy principles, variational methods, plates and shells, composite materials, mechanics of solids, and the finite element method (linear and nonlinear) and its applications. Dr. Reddy has delivered over 175 plenaries, keynotes, and invited lectures at international conferences, and taught 116 short courses on continuum mechanics, variational methods, linear and nonlinear finite elements, composite materials, and nonlocal structural theories. He is a member of the US National Academy of Engineering and Foreign Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Royal Academy of Engineering of Spain, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Indian National Academy of Engineering, and the Brazilian National Academy of Engineering, and an honorary member of the European Academy of Engineering. He received numerous awards, and most recent one is the 2019 Timoshenko Medal from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Prof. C. M. Wang is Professor of Structural Engineering at the School of Civil Engineering, The University of Queensland, Australia. He is Chartered Structural Engineer, Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering, Fellow of the Academy of Engineering Singapore, Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Singapore, and Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers. His research focuses on structural stability, vibration, optimization, and very large floating structures, and he has published over 490 journal papers and 10 books in these areas. He is Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics and an editorial board member of several journals, including Engineering Structures, International Journal of Applied Mechanics, Shock and Vibration, and Structures. His numerous awards include the 2019 Nishino Medal, 2019 JN Reddy Medal, 2014 Keith Eaton Award, and 2009 Lewis Kent Award. Dr. Luong is Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), Vietnam. He holds a Masters in Civil Engineering from the University of Liège, Belgium, and Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. His research interests are in the areas of structural stability, vibration, optimization, plates and shells, and computational mechanics. He has published many scientific papers, author of the books: “Dynamics of Structures” published in 2010,  “Moving Element Method”, and “Very Large Floating Structures” published in 2020 (in Vietnamese). He has won many awards that include the First Prize of the 3rd Youth Conference of Scientific Researches of HCMUT, the 4th Eureka Scientific Awards, the National Scientific Researches Awards, the Prize of Strength of Materials in the National Olympic Competition. Dr. Le is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), Vietnam. He holds a Masters in Civil Engineering from HCMUT, and Ph.D. from the Yeungnam University, Korea. His research interests include construction materials, geopolymer material and high-performance concrete.
