This book presents fundamentals of quantum computing and Internet of Things (IoT). It covers many applications of quantum computing in IoT environment which fulfill research gaps in the currently available literature. This edited work also discusses research challenges, new applications and future work directions in quantum computing-based IoT environments.

Suyel Namasudra has received Ph.D. degree from the National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam, India. He was a post-doctorate fellow at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR), Spain. Currently, Dr. Namasudra is working as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Agartala, Tripura, India. Before joining the National Institute of Technology Agartala, Dr. Namasudra was an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Patna, Bihar, India. His research interests include blockchain technology, information security, cloud computing, and DNA computing. Dr. Namasudra has edited eight books, five patents, and 86 publications in conference proceedings, book chapters, and refereed journals like IEEE TII, IEEE, TNSM, IEEE TCE, IEEE T-ITS, IEEE TSC, IEEE TCSS, IEEE TCBB, ACM TOMM, ACM TOSN, ACM TALLIP, FGCS, CAEE, and many more. Dr. Kemal Akkaya is the Professor and Chair of the Computer Science Department at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).  He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2005. Prior to VCU, he was the Eminent Chaired Scholar Professor in the School of Computer and Information Sciences and Director for Center for Integrated Security, Privacy and Trustworthy AI (CIERTA) at Florida International University (FIU). He also leads the Advanced Wireless and Security Lab (ADWISE) at VCU. His current research interests include security and privacy, IoT, and cyber-physical systems. Dr. Akkaya is a Fellow of IEEE and senior member of ACM. He is the area editor for IEEE Transactions on Forensics and Security, Elsevier Ad Hoc Network Journal, and Computer Networks Journal. Dr. Akkaya was the editor-in-chief of Springer Nature Computer Science journal (2022-2023), the General Chair of IEEE LCN 2018, General Co-chair of IEEE NOMS 2023, and TPC Chair for IEEE ICC Smart Grid Communications in 2019.  Nirmalya Kar, a member of IEEE, is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Institute of Technical Agartala, and designated chief information security officer. He has 18 years of teaching and research experience, and his research interests include information security, cyber analytics, data hiding, and DNA computing. He has 2 patents and more than 70 research contributions in book chapters, conference proceedings, and refereed journals like IEEE TNSM, IEEE TCE, ACM TOMM, and many more. Dr. Kar has been involved in various roles, including organizing chair and general chair of international conferences, editor of books, and reviewer of many SCI journals and transactions apart from other academic and administrative roles like coordinating high-performance computing initiatives at NIT Agartala, an academic coordinator of UG curriculum, etc.
