This book offers a comprehensive exploration of the latest advancements in optics, photonics, and advanced materials, addressing critical challenges in the field. It delves into the development of optoelectronic materials for optical limiting and switching applications, breakthroughs in photonic materials and devices, and the integration of photonics for miniaturization and scalability. The role of quantum photonics in next-generation technologies is examined, alongside applications in renewable energy and sustainability.

Key topics include advanced optical sensing and imaging technologies, ultrafast and nonlinear photonics, and the generation and detection of terahertz radiation. The book also provides insights into quantum cascade lasers and the development of fiber lasers and amplifiers. Additionally, it explores nanostructured materials, 2D materials, and smart materials poised to revolutionize future technologies.

This book is an essential resource for scientists, engineers, and researchers in materials science, nuclear physics, and photonics. Compiled from the International Conference on Complex Systems, Advanced Materials, and Photonics (IC-ETCMP-2025), it bridges fundamental concepts with real-world applications, offering a roadmap for future discoveries and innovations. Whether you're a seasoned expert or a curious newcomer, this book provides valuable perspectives on the cutting-edge of scientific research.

Professor Rajesh Sharma had worked as a research scientist at College of Optics and Photonics (CREOL), University of Central Florida, USA. The CREOL is one of the world s foremost institutions for research and education in optical and photonic science and engineering. Rajesh Sharma s current research project is related to the ultrafast all-optical switching using femtosecond laser pulses. Rajesh Sharma is young and dynamic scientist working in the field of nanotechnology, nonlinear and quantum optics, experimental and theoretical terahertz radiations, and ultra-fast time resolved spectroscopy since last 20 years.

Rajesh Sharma has received various awards such as Young Scientist award for outstanding research contributions in all-optical switching by CREOL, Government of USA, German Research Foundation (DFG) young scientist award, 2011, a young researcher award from French National Centre for scientific Research (CNRS)-2009. Prof. Rajesh Sharma has published about 130 research papers in the peer reviewed Journals and Conferences as well as guided many students for Masters, Ph. D., and postdoctoral research work. Currently, Rajesh Sharma has been working as Associate Professor in the Pure and Applied Physics Department in Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (Central University), India.

Professor Luca Varani was born in Carpi (Italy) in 1963. He received the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Modena (Italy) in 1993 and the Ph.D. degree in electronics in 1996 from the University of Montpellier (France). He is a full professor of the University of Montpellier and has been head of the research group TeHO (TeraHertz, High-Frequency and Optics) of the Institute of Electronics and Systems (IES). His main research activities are in theoretical and experimental transport phenomena with a special attention to the terahertz frequency range. He has been supervisor of 18 PhD thesis, member of the scientific/advisory committees of 6 international conferences,  and chairman of 3 conferences. He is an author/coauthor of about 300 scientific articles in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
