This volume examines the convergence of digital transformation and sustainability in shaping smarter, more resilient societies. Drawing on research and practical experiences from Indonesia and Asia, it explores how governments, cities, and institutions employ digital tools to advance environmental protection, efficient governance, and inclusive growth. Key themes include smart governance, urban innovation, artificial intelligence, big data applications, climate action, disaster risk reduction, and community resilience. By integrating perspectives from academia, policy, and practice, the book presents interdisciplinary approaches linking digital ecosystems with sustainable development goals (SDGs). Developed as an outcome of the International Conference on Environment and Smart Society (ICENSO), the volume offers case studies and frameworks demonstrating how public private academic collaboration can foster digital innovation for sustainability. It highlights regionally grounded examples from best-practice cities to illustrate scalable, adaptive models for sustainable urban futures. The book will appeal to researchers, policymakers, urban planners, sustainability practitioners, and technology innovators seeking evidence-based insights into how digital technology can promote environmental sustainability, equity, and innovation in the context of global and local transitions.
