Mariam Hull is an Assistant Professor in the section of Child Neurology and Neurodevelopmental disabilities and is a pediatric movement disorders specialist at Texas Children’s Hospital. She received her training in Child Neurology at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine and then subsequently was trained in movement disorders at Baylor College of Medicine as well as Texas Children’s Hospital and is trained in administration of botulinum neurotoxin injections as well as deep brain stimulation. She currently serves a provider within the Tourette Center of Excellence and serves on the international Tourette and Tic Disorder Study group of the Movement Disorders Society. Her research focus is pediatric movement disorders and publications of relevance include two first author publications on functional tics and role of social media and two first author publications to raise awareness and provide treatment strategies of malignant and self-injurious tics. She has also authored book chapters in Ferri’s Clinical Advisor, chapter on Tourette syndrome over the past three years as well as a chapter on use of neuromodulation in movement disorders (highlighting Tourette syndrome) in Capute Accardo's Neurodevelopmental Disabilities in Infancy and Childhood: Neurodevelopmental Diagnosis and Treatment.
