Extracellular Vesicle-Based Biovectors for Diagnostic and Biomedical Applications provides comprehensive coverage on not only the biosynthesis, isolation, purification, and functionalization of extracellular vesicles for therapeutic and diagnostic applications, but it also explores the current trends of functionalized extracellular vesicles for biomedical research and for commercial-scale opportunities. Organized into three main parts, the book takes a structured approach. Part I focuses on the fundamental aspects of extracellular vesicles, covering their origin, classification, biosynthesis, isolation techniques, purification challenges, and functionalization for biomedical applications. Part II delves into the therapeutic applications of extracellular vesicles and their role in treating diseases, while also addressing biocompatibility, safety, and translation challenges. , while also addressing biocompatibility, safety, and translation challenges. Part III explores the diagnostic potential of extracellular vesicles in biomedical research, highlighting their role as diagnostic biomarkers in various diseases. It also discusses emerging technologies and the future directions in extracellular vesicle research. Extracellular Vesicle-Based Biovectors for Diagnostic and Biomedical Applications is a valuable reference for researchers and clinicians seeking an in-depth understanding of extracellular vesicles and their potential biomedical applications.
