Ilia Manolov is a dipl. chemist at the Faculty of Chemistry, "St. Kliment Ohridski" University of Sofia, Bulgaria. PhD thesis (1986) was made at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Sofia. PhD thesis was connected to the synthesis and antitumor activity of β,β'-dichlorodiethylaminoethyl esters of carboxylic acids. Later, his research was focused on studies about the synthesis, structure investigations and pharmacological activity of 4-hydroxycoumarin derivatives. This work was summarized in a D. Sci. thesis. At the Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Sofia he was an Associated Professor at the Department of Organic Chemistry and later at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. In 2021 Cambridge Scholars Publishing published his book on the topic of 4-hydroxycoumarins, in 2022 his book on the topic Processes and Apparatus in Chemical-pharmaceutical Technology. Synthesis of Medicinal Products, in 2023 his book on the topic Fundamentals of Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, and in 2024 his book on the topic Inorganic Chemistry Tasks with Exemplary Solutions.
