This set provides thorough coverage of medical engineering and clinical benefits in the diagnosis of human pathologies using MRI. The second edition aims to confirm itself as the leading reference for MRI application to the study of the pathological diseases of the human body including the most recent advances in MRI technology.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Second Edition illustrates the basic principles and the latest clinical applications of MRI techniques. This four-volume set unites high-quality images and in-depth presentations of MRI applications to the wider range of pathologies. The new edition has been revised throughout with an extensive update and introduction of new chapters focusing on CMR techniques. It also includes new chapters focusing on CMR techniques, valvopathies, myocarditis, inflammatory cardiomyopathies, cardiac masses, tumors, pulmonary embolism, and pulmonary hypertension. Additionally, this set includes new chapters on Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA), MR spectroscopy, AI algorithms application for the MRI quality of image improvement, esophageal MRI imaging, extraperitoneal diseases, viral diseases of the brain and COVID. Finally, this book also includes updates and new chapters on, lower extremities (including knee – ankle – foot), shoulder and upper extremities (including elbow – wrist – hand), MR arthrography, and oncologic ablation technique MR based. It also includes CAD applications in the cardio-vascular, abdomen-GI system, gynecological system, breasts, and MSK.
This book is intended to be the go-to resource and reference for radiologists, residents, oncologists, neurologists, general surgeons, and imaging specialists.
