Wastewater Valorization: Turning Effluents into Valuable Resources: Development in Wastewater Treatment Research and Processes approaches wastewater management by emphasizing the transformation of effluents into valuable resources. The book explores cutting-edge technologies and methodologies aimed at addressing environmental challenges and promoting circular economy principles. From biomass valorization to electrochemical processes and algal biorefinery systems, it presents a wealth of information for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers focused on resource recovery and sustainability. Sections cover a variety of innovative techniques, including microbial fuel cells, hydrothermal liquefaction, and the Fenton process, providing practical insights through real-world examples and case studies.

Each chapter illustrates how these methods have been successfully implemented, empowering readers to apply theoretical concepts in their own fields, whether in industry or academia. Users will find this to be a valuable resource that emphasizes the interconnectedness of circular economy principles and sustainable practices in wastewater management.

Dr. Harshita Jain is an early-career young academic researcher with a background in membrane separation technology, sustainable development, pollution management, and water and wastewater treatment. She has been involved in numerous academic and research activities, including the publication of articles in SCI/SCIE journals, many of which are with Elsevier, and proceedings of international conferences. Innovations in clean technology, water and wastewater treatment, biosorption, vermicomposting, antibiotic resistance, public health, machine learning in disaster response, groundwater remediation, the impact of climate change, and artificial intelligence solutions for disaster preparedness are among her areas of interest. Dr. Jain has also served as an editor for reputable books published by Springer, Bentham, IWA, and regional textbooks in the sciences. Additionally, she manages multiple Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects for major companies and has successfully completed various government-funded training programs. She has demonstrated a commitment to faculty development and community involvement by participating in initiatives that support innovative teaching strategies and sustainable development. Furthermore, she contributes significantly to the academic community by supervising PhD students and offering guidance for M.E./M.Tech. dissertations Dr. Maulin P. Shah is an active researcher and microbial biotechnologist with diverse research interest. His primary interest is the environment, the quality of our living resources and the ways that bacteria can help to manage and degrade toxic wastes and restore environmental health. Consequently, His work has been focused to assess the impact of industrial pollution on microbial diversity of wastewater following cultivation dependant and cultivation independent analysis.
