Dr. Sayeed ur Rehman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, School of Chemical and Life Sciences, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, India. Dr. Rehman and his team are working to decipher the role of alternative splicing in health and disease. They are currently involved in the identification and characterization of alternatively spliced novel isoforms of human genes linked to cancer, obesity and diabetes, neurodegenerative disorders and genes linked to host-pathogen interactions. Dr. Rehman has also worked as Leibniz-DAAD Fellow at the German Diabetes Centre, Dusseldorf, Germany. He has around 8 years of teaching and research experience and has published around 45 research and review articles in the field of study. Professor Mohammad Tabish completed his Ph.D. from Japan and is currently working in the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Life Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. He has obtained post-doctoral training in different institutes including the Department of Pharmacology, University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas, USA., School of Biological Sciences, University of Liverpool, UK., Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden., Toyohashi University of Technology, Toyohashi, Aichi, Japan and University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington, Connecticut, USA. He has over 25 years of teaching and research experience in the field of biotechnology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. Professor Tabish has published several research and review articles in the field of molecular biology with special emphasis on alternative splicing. He has also received several prestigious fellowships including NIH funded fellowships, Wennergren fellowship, Leverhulme Trust visiting fellowship and Japanese Government fellowship (Monbusho) for Ph.D. at Toyohashi University of Technology, Toyohashi, Japan.
