Prof. George Okoye Krhoda, PhD, CBS, MKNAS is Associate Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies in the Department of Earth and Climate Sciences, University of Nairobi, Kenya. Until December 2006, he was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and Chairman of the Negotiation Committee on the Nile Basin Cooperative Framework. Earlier, he was Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Water and Irrigation where most of the water sector reforms were carried out under his watch.Professor Elias Ayiemba is a retired Professor (2021) of Population Geography, University of Nairobi, Kenya. He has a PhD degree in population geography and was the thematic head of courses on population geography from the 1980s until his retirement. He is an internationally renowned scholar with expertise in demography, population geography, human impact on the environment, sustainable environmental development, human resource development, and human security.
