Furthermore, an elaborative structure to explain the policy challenges for various cities that are hurdle to urban future plan making process.  The main intent of this book is to ponder on various complexities witnessed by metropolitan cities across the globe. Through this book, there is an attempt to delve in to various policy measures that can future-proof the spatial development process in emerging cities with an emphasis on sustainable solutions that can spearhead the initiatives to mitigate social disparities and promote community participation. Furthermore this book will demonstrate technological shifts and emerging digital mechanisms as a game changer for responsive urban development. The book aspires to offer comprehensive insights from the different geographies of globe for policymakers, urban planners, academicians and researchers.

Mr. Vibhore Bakshi is presently working as Assistant Professor of Urban and Regional Planning Department at School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal. He is also pursuing his Ph.D. from Department of Architecture and Planning, IIT Roorkee. Currently, as a part of his PhD research, he is researching on impact of Knowledge Economy in regional development process of India. He holds a "Master of Urban and Regional Planning Degree" from CEPT, Ahmadabad (First Class with Distinction) and "Bachelor of Planning", from School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal (First Class). He has previously presented his research work at various prestigious platforms (conference: WCTR 2023 Montreal, IPPA 2023 Toronto, SDC Bangkok 2019, 2020, ARCP Busan etc.) along with various invited positions with research grants. He has published his research work in Springer nature and Elsevier. he is also Peer reviewer for Journals of Springer Nature, Routledge etc. He is also associate member of Institute of Town Planners, India, and International Public Policy Association & World Conference on Transport Research along with nominated member of "ITPI Information Technology Team", along with part of few consultancy projects of master plan making process.

Dr. Navjit Gaurav is an assistant professor in the Department of Architecture and Planning at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (India). He is an accomplished scholar and architect with a PhD from Queen's University, Canada. He has extensively worked on participatory research projects on disability-inclusive practices across Asia, Africa, and North America. He holds a Master's degree in Disability Studies from TISS Mumbai, where he received Gold Medal for Research and exemplary fieldwork. His master's thesis addressed architectural and academic barriers faced by students with orthopedic disabilities in higher education institutions.An undergraduate from SPA-Bhopal, his thesis focussed on tribal art and architectural heritage. Dr. Gaurav has achieved significant recognition in his professional journey. His roles as a community architect, leading innovative projects such as a community library integrating BALA concepts, and as a project architect on design projects highlight his practical expertise. His numerous fellowships and grants testify to his leadership in inclusive design and community- based research, further underlining his professional capabilities

Dr. Deepank Verma is a post-doctoral researcher leading the Spatial AI group at the SpACE Lab, TU Braunschweig, Germany. He holds a bachelors degree with honors in Planning from SPA Bhopal, a master's degree in City Planning from IIT Kharagpur, and earned his PhD from IIT Bombay in 2020. Recognized for his research on Human Perception of Urban Surroundings, he received the prestigious Naik and Rastogi Excellence Award at IIT Bombay. In his current role, Dr. Verma mentors students and professionals in applying cutting-edge techniques in urban planning and design. His expertise extends to writing grant proposals, designing academic courses, and delivering seminars. He is actively involved in international collaborations and exchanges through the SpACE Lab and the Institute for Sustainable Urbanism, working with projects in South Africa, China, and Singapore. His recent research focuses on deep learning-based audio-visual urban data analysis, the use of large language models as virtual humans, and Lidar-based street comprehension at a citywide scale. Dr. Verma is also exploring innovative applications of generative AI in urban planning, with a vision to develop new technologies that scale planning and management tools for larger spatial contexts.
