Prof. Martin Desimone was born in Buenos Aires-Argentina. He graduated from Pharmacy, Biochemistry and received his PhD degree from the University of Buenos Aires. After a postdoctoral period in the University of the Basque Country, Spain, he joined the Laboratoire Chimie de la Matiére Condensée de Paris, France. Currently, he is a researcher at CONICET and a Full Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Additionally, he holds a Visiting Professor position at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande in Brazil.
He was recipient of awards and distinctions including the participation in the 2016 Emerging Investigator themed issue of the Journal of Materials Chemistry B, the Award Innovar in the category applied research received in two consecutive years (2016 and 2017) from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation (MINCYT), the distinction Dr. José A. Balseiro XV edition, received in The Argentine Senate, which is the upper house of the Argentine National Congress and four times the Academic Excellence" from Universidad de Buenos Aires. He has guided 11 Ph. D and 3 International Master students. At present five research students are working under his direction for Ph. D. He edited two books, authored 138 publications, 20 book chapters, and was granted 4 patents. He was also an invited speaker at over 40 international conferences.
Dr. Rajshree B. Jotania is a professor of Physics, Department of Physics, Electronics and Space science, at Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India. She obtained her B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D from Saurashtra University, Rajkot, India. She was Junior Research Fellow (DAE-BRNS project) during 1987 to 1989 at Physics Department, Saurashtra University, Rajkot, India. She obtained a few regional and national awards for contribution toward scientific research. She worked at National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India for a few months as a Summer Visiting Teacher Fellow in 2005 and as a Visiting Scientist fellow in 2011. She possesses 32 years of teaching experience at UG and PG level. She is a member of board of studies at few Universities of Gujarat, India and a Mentor of DST-INSPIRE (Department of Science and Technology- Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) program. She has published more than 100 papers in various research journals and conference proceedings. She has delivered more than 25 invited talks at various DST-INSPIRE Internship science camp in India. She has edited five books entitled Ferrites and ceramic composites (Vol. I & II,Trans Tech Publisher (TTP), Switzerland), Magnetic Oxides and Ceramic Composites (Vol. I & II, Materials Research Forum, LLC, USA), and Magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications (Materials Research Forum, LLC, USA). She visited Singapore (three times), Malaysia, USA (New York), and North Africa (Tunisia) for research work.
