Prof. Avinash Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor of Jiwaji University, Gwalior, brings a wealth of academic and administrative experience spanning over 33 years. Prof. Tiwari has held pivotal roles in higher education, including as Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. His academic qualifications include NET and a Ph.D., which have underpinned his distinguished career dedicated to teaching, research, and institutional administration. With over 31 years of administrative leadership, he has served as the Head of Department, Examination Controller, Dean of Faculty, and member of UGC and NAAC national bodies. Since his appointment as Vice-Chancellor in December 2021, Prof. Tiwari has steered Jiwaji University to unprecedented achievements, including securing the NAAC A Grade, UGC Category I recognition, and a ₹100 crore grant under the PM-USHA program. His efforts have significantly elevated the university's academic and infrastructural standing while fostering innovation through MOUs with 35 national and international organizations. Under his visionary leadership, Prof. Tiwari has implemented numerous transformative initiatives. These include the establishment of a Medical College and Research Center, the promotion of e-governance, and the enhancement of sustainability efforts within the campus. A staunch advocate for educational accessibility, he has championed initiatives such as the "Bandi Se Bandhu" scheme for educating prisoners and programs to empower tribal communities. Additionally, his specialization in Food Technology, Agro Ecology, and Tourism Management, complemented by his international academic engagements, reflects his commitment to advancing global education and research. Recognized with honors like "Gwalior Ratan" and leadership awards, Prof. Tiwari exemplifies excellence and dedication in the field of higher education.
