William B. Willers, emeritus professor of Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, has lived in some of the best trout and salmon fishing areas of North America. He was born in Vancouver, Washington, and received degrees from the University of Maine and the University of Michigan before receiving his Ph.D. at Colorado State University, Fort Collins. He has served as a biologist with the Maine Department of Sea and Shore Fisheries and at the U.S. Bureau of Commercial Fisheries at Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
