Ecophysiology and Ocean Acidification in Marine Mollusks
Academic Press Inc (Verlag)
978-0-443-15938-1 (ISBN)
The book concludes by discussing the implications of current research, acknowledging data limitations in the field, and proposing future research directions, providing a better understanding of the potential impacts of ocean acidification on mollusks and the global aquaculture industry and inspiring new thinking for future research practices. It will be an indispensable resource for researchers, practitioners, undergraduate and graduate students, conservationists, and aquaculturists alike who are interested in marine environmental change, ecology, physiology, and marine biology.
Dr. Youji Wang is a Professor at the College of Fisheries and Science, Shanghai Ocean University. He obtained his BSc and MSc in Aquaculture from Huazhong Agricultural University and his PhD in Marine Biology from the City University of Hong Kong. Dr. Wang has 20 years of experience in conducting marine biology, aquaculture, and environmental research. His current research focuses on the response of microalgae, bivalves, and fishes to nanoparticles, microplastics, ocean acidification, hypoxia, warming and other emerging contaminants. Recent publications include Elsevier’s Ecophysiology and Ocean Acidification in Marine Mollusks.
