Tony Kirkham (Contributor) Tony Kirkham MBE, VMH cared for the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew collection of 14,000 trees for over 40 years, retiring in 2021 as Head of Arboretum, Gardens and Horticulture Services. He was awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Victoria Medal of Honour in 2019. He has written and co-authored numerous books on trees and has also featured on TV programmes including Judi Dench: My Passion For Trees and has presented two television series of The Trees That Made Britain for the BBC. Katie Scott Limited (Illustrator) Katie Scott is a London-based illustrator known for her intricate, nature-inspired artwork. Since graduating from the University of Brighton in 2011, she has developed a distinctive style influenced by traditional botanical and medical illustration, blending scientific detail with imaginative design. Her work appears in acclaimed books such as Animalium and Botanicum, and she has collaborated with brands and institutions including Hermès, Nike and Kew Gardens.
