Grinding is one of the ancient activities used by man to synthesise materials. Indeed, grinding consists in reducing pieces of solid materials of a given size to a smaller size. The principle is the fragmentation of the pieces by the mechanical action of stronger parts, usually metallic. Mechanosynthesis or high-energy grinding is an elaboration technique accessible to any research laboratory, given its ease of experimental implementation and the modest cost of the equipment. The aim of this book is to collect and discuss the different concepts related to this non-equilibrium technique.

She is interested in the development and characterisation of nanomaterials. Dr Hadef has published several articles and chapters in international publishing houses.
