Environmentally Sustainable Corrosion Inhibitors: Fundamentals and Industrial Applications covers the latest research developments in environmentally friendly, sustainable corrosion inhibitors. The book addresses the fundamental characteristics, synthesis, characterization and mechanisms of corrosion inhibitors. In addition, it presents a chronological overview of the growth of the field, with  numerous examples of its broad-ranging industrial applications in a.o. food, the environment, electronics, and the oil and gas industries. The book concludes with discussions about commercialization and economics. This is an indispensable reference for chemical engineers and chemists working in R&D and academia who want to learn more about environmentally-friendly, sustainable corrosion inhibitors systems.

Chandrabhan Verma, PhD, works at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Advanced Materials, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS). His research interests mainly focus on the synthesis and design of environment-friendly corrosion inhibitors used for several industrial applications. Dr. Verma received his PhD degree from the Department of Chemistry at IIT?BHU, Varanasi, India and MSc degree in organic chemistry (Gold Medalist). Dr. Verma is the author of several research and review articles in peer-reviewed international journals. He has also received several national and international awards for his academic achievements. Dr. Jeenat Aslam is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, Taibah University, Yanbu, Al-Madina, Saudi Arabia. She obtained her PhD degree in chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. Her research is mainly focused on materials and corrosion, nanotechnology, and surface chemistry. Dr. Jeenat has published several research and review articles in peer-reviewed international journals. In addition, she has authored more than 40 book chapters and edited more than 30 books for different prestigious publishers. Chaudhery Mustansar Hussain is an adjunct professor and lab director in the Department of Chemistry & Environmental Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), United States. His research is focused on sustainability, nanotechnology & advanced materials, environmental management, analytical chemistry, and other various industries. Dr. Hussain is the author of numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as a prolific author and editor of several books, including scientific monographs and handbooks in his research areas. He has published with ELSEVIER, American Chemical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, John Wiley & Sons, CRC Press, and Springer.
