The aim of the comparison of reflectance measurements is to get some information about the maintenance and traceability of reflectance measurements on standard reflecting samples. These standards are widely used with spectrophotometers and colorimeters to measure reflectance and colour, which are important aspects in consumer acceptance of many manufactured goods as well as food. The industries for which such measurements are of importance include textiles, paint, paper, printing and food processing as well as graphic design and photography. The intercomparison seeks to determine the state of the art of spectral reflectance measurements.
