The 146th PTB Seminar "Electrolytic conductivity" took place on February 4 and 5, 1999. This seminar, which was sponsored by the Helmholtz-Fonds e.V., was organized as a joint meeting of the PTB and the Danish Metrology Institute, DFM.
The meeting was attended by participants from seven countries. These included representatives from industry and from five metrology institutes.
This report summarizes the lectures delivered at the Seminar. Also, the NPAC Technical Report "Molality-based Primary Standards of Electrolytic Conductivity" is attached with the kind permission of the authors.
Points of discussion were the state of the art and the future development of traceable measurements of the electrolytic conductivity of solutions.
