This book is a collection of chapters focusing on green composite materials. The selection of natural fibers and polymer matrix materials, and the bonding between them forms an essential aspect of this book. The book discusses the chemical treatment of natural fibers and their compatibility with different matrix materials. The growing applications of composites in every day life ranging from automobiles to aerospace are also discussed. The book highlights the importance of processing of natural fiber reinforced composite materials to enhance their mechanical strength and performance. The contents of this book will be beneficial for students, researchers and industry professionals working on composite materials.

Dr. Pawan Kumar Rakesh is an Assistant Professor and Associate Dean, Faculty Welfare at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Uttarakhand. He has also served as Head of the Department, Mechanical Engineering (2013 - 2016) at NIT Uttarakhand. Dr. Rakesh obtained his PhD from IIT Roorkee in 2012. He has got substantial exposure to several laboratory developments, academic structure and student welfare. He has published 36 articles in reputed international and national journals and conferences. He has also contributed one book chapter in Mechatronics and Manufacturing Engineering: Research and Development.

Dr. Inderdeep Singh completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in 1998 from the National Institute of Technology Hamirpur, followed by his M.Tech and PhD (in Composites Materials) from IIT Delhi in 2000 and 2004, respectively. He is currently Associate Professor in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department, IIT Roorkee. Dr. Singh has received several awards and honors, and has also successfully completed 15 research and consultancy projects. He has published 180 articles in international and national journals and conferences. He has authored a book titled 'Primary and Secondary Manufacturing of Polymer Matrix Composites' and has also contributed 15 book chapters in the fields of composite materials. He has been actively involved in the National Mission Project on Education through ICT (NME-ICT) of Government of India.
