Dr. Johannes Refisch ist ausgebildeter Ökologe und widmet sich als Wissenschaftler und Naturschützer seit mehr als 20 Jahren den Primaten. Er arbeitet seit 2006 für GRASP, einer globalen Allianz zum Schutz der Menschenaffen unter dem Dach der Vereinten Nationen in Nairobi (Kenia). Dr. Johannes Refisch entdeckte sein Interesse an Fotografie, als er nach der Schule die ersten Abenteuerreisen in die Türkei und nach Marokko unternahm. Die Kameras sind seitdem seine wichtigsten Begleiter.
